Dear Boondocks management:
On Saturday, July 17, 2010 my husband and I brought my son and daughter-in-law to your restaurant, Boondocks, for dinner. We have never been so disappointed in our meal. The food tasted delicious, but the portions were unbelievably small. We ordered the half and half dinner of shrimp and oysters, thinking it would be a plentiful meal since the price was $18.99. When our meal came, were we surprised !!! We had 6 small shrimp and 6 oysters that looked like they had taken 2 oysters and split them into 3 portions. When the plate was placed at our table, I made a comment to the server, where are the oysters since we didn't even see them on the plate. We live in the area and have been to the coast our whole lives, but I have never had such small portions at seafood restaurant. I read the high reviews of Southern Living and Coastal living but based on this visit I cannot concur with their remarks.
Yours truly,
Romae Bush

My husband and I live in Chipley and are in Panama City at least once a week. We have been by your restaurant many times, but always seemed to miss the days/times you were open.
Finally, we went by last night and you were open. We had eaten a late lunch in PC, so were not overly hungry, but wanted to go in, have a beer and a couple of appetizers. We were excited to check out your restaurant and your menu for a future return trip.
We sat down at the bar in the dining room, and the bar tender immediately and rudely asked if we were going to eat dinner. There was no greeting, hello, or how are you. We explained what we were looking for, and she refused to serve us at the bar. We were told that we had to "go downstairs" to the "bar" and we could get limited appetizers there.
There was nobody waiting to be seated for dinner. There were three people sitting at the bar in the dining room, one couple and a single. We did not want to eat "downstairs" in the "waiting room", where there were two seats at a makeshift bar that looks like it belongs in someone's finished basement. We wanted to get the feel for the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant,
It was not only shocking to be treated so rudely, but it was quite embarassing. We have never been refused service at any restaurant before in our lives. We are not kids, my husband is retired military and I am retired from a business career. We like to eat out frequently, and expect to be treated with respect, and allowed to order whatever we wish to eat. What has happened to hospitality and customer service in your restaurant?
So, we retreated from the dining room to the "downstairs" and right out the door. I gess we got what we came there for, to see if we wanted to return. We don't.
I Thought you might be interested in some feedback, in this economy you can't afford to run off many more custome

We were there on Wednesday the 7th of July and had a great time. The wife and I have been many times but this time we brought almost the whole family. My 4 granddaughters were singing with the singer you have and he ask me to send him a picture of them all but I do not know where I can send it.
P.S. The food was the greatest.

JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW WE ATE AT YOUR WONDERFUL REST..... THE FOOD WAS GREAT, THE SERVICE WAS JUST AS GOOD, WE SAT AT END OF THE BAR AND ENJOYED THE NIGHT, WHEN WE STARTED TO LEAVE, YOU HAD THE THE DUMB S.O.B. TRYING TO SHOW HIS BUTT, HE YELLED: "THIS PLACE SUCKS" AS HE TURNED OVER A CHAIR AS HE WALKED OUT THE DOOR... IT IS REALLY SAD THAT THE FAMILIES THAT WERE THERE ENJOYING THEIR SUPPER HAD TO SEE HIM ACT LIKE THAT... YOUR STAFF DONE A EXCELLENT JOB TO TRY AND CONTROL THE SITUATION, BUT WITH SOME PEOPLE THEIR IS NO USE, HE IS LUCKY I ONLY HAD 2 OF THOSE COLD BUDWEISER LIGHTS, OR I MIGHT HAVE PLACED HIM IN THE BAYOU TO COOL OFF...
ANY WAY WE LOVED THE FOOD, THE EMPLOYEES, AND BOON DOCKS, WE WILL BE BACK....
TELL KENNY TO KEEP IT UP, THE SHRIMP BURGERS REMIND ME OF PENNEY'S SEAFOOD.....
THANK YOU,
KEN & AMY GUTHRIE

We will be in your area on April 17 - 24 with 5 other friends. Considering stopping in for dinner and drinks. Wondering if you would have any "incentives" (i.e. coupons, promotions, 2 for 1 deals, etc.) that you might be able to offer us?
Thank You'

We have been there many times when we get to the states (live in Copenhagen, Denmark - I am American, my wife Danish) we always stay in Inlet Beach, and love your place -- food, staff, service -- all great -- but looking at your menu, seems like your prices have increase considerably since our last visit in 2008 -- even so, you can count on us being there several times during the 7 weeks we will be there
(just wish you had oysters on half shell with lemon and tobasco)
